At Grandview, we specialize
in catering to each horse’s special needs. Horses,
like people, are individuals and each requires his or
her own unique program for success. Our mission is to
create a healthy and happy lifestyle for each and everyone
one of our equine friends.
We are also dedicated to the correct training of horse
and rider, specializing in dressage.
Ashley Wright
Ashley is the head trainer at Grandview Equestrian Farm
and has been short or long-listed for the Canadian Dressage
Team consistently over the past 10 years.
Her beginnings in equestrian sports started with Pony
Club where she competed to ‘B’ level, as
well as competing in Hunter/Jumper and up to Preliminary
Eventing before deciding to focus on Dressage in 1989.
Ashley has trained in Europe with Christine Stuckelberger
(5 time Olympic medalist, 4 time World Championships
medalist) and her long-time trainer, George Wahl (retired
head of the Spanish Riding School).
Ashley has trained numerous horses through to FEI level
and has shown successfully at Grand Prix, competing
extensively in Canada, the U.S. and internationally.
She also has a great deal of experience working young
horses (including breaking), focusing on establishing
sound fundamental basics for any discipline. She has
also been very successful in retraining horses that
have been deemed as “difficult”.
Ashley enjoys working with students and horses of all
